We’re (cautiously) Reopening!

August 28, 2020 UPDATE: We are now allowing 2 clients in the studio at a time - read more about our current COVID-19 prevention measures.

Nearly 3 months after closing our doors due to the COVID-19 emergency, and in accordance with Ontario’s phase 1 reopening strategy, we’re carefully welcoming clients back into the studio starting today.

Over the course of our studio closure we’ve seen incredible adoption of our remote recording sessions - and that option isn’t going away. In fact, we recommend sticking with this method for now if at all possible.

For those who need to record in the studio, we’re here for you. Here’s our strategy for keeping everyone involved safe and healthy:

  • Limiting admission to the studio to one client and one of our staff at any given time (we can add more people remotely of course)

  • Adding time and enhanced cleaning protocols between studio sessions.

  • Providing fresh disposable microphone and headphone covers for each studio session.

  • Asking clients to proceed directly in and out of the studio without lingering in the control room.

  • Asking clients to wear masks as they enter/exit the studio (our staff will be wearing masks during these times as well).

  • Reminding clients not to attend the studio if they have any symptoms or have been in recent contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

  • Providing hand sanitizer for clients and staff.

  • Switching from reusable glassware to bottled water.

Our building has instituted various measures to enhance safety too. There’s hand sanitizer and a socially-distanced elevator waiting area in the lobby, and elevators are limited to two occupants at a time. The west-side staircase (on the right as you enter the main lobby) has been designated “up only” and the east-side staircase (on the right as you leave the studio) is designated “down only”.

Thanks for your patience as we navigate this new normal, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
